Sales and Distribution

Daikin Airconditioning UK Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Europe NV. The focus of our business is sales and distribution of Daikin air conditioning products whilst fully utilising the advantage of our European Group Manufacturing Division. Daikin Airconditioning UK is a nation wide organisation with headquarters in the London area.

Strategically situated regional sales offices achieve efficient response combined with administration and distribution centres in London, Bristol and Glasgow.

Investment and Expertise

From the background of acquisition of three successful privately owned Daikin distributors during 2004 Daikin Airconditioning UK Ltd became one legal entity on 1 October 2004. The combined experience and expertise of these companies has provided a continued growth of sales turnover. The programme of far reaching investment continues with projected increases for sales targets and market share. This exciting challenge has provided a platform for the already committed team to take the next step and consolidate our position as the first name in air conditioning in the UK.

As experts in our field and recognised as such within the industry we see it as our responsibility to ensure customers are confident with the range of technological leading edge product. The vital cascade of information is constant and often innovative, a conference for hundreds, a presentation for one or two, CPD presentations or updates on industry legislation, all are within our portfolio. Advanced selection software is updated through a registration process and ensures the latest information is always available to the customer.

Diversified Customer Base

How do we meet the expectations of our customer base?

The company is structured to ensure flexibility to each sector of our business. An external sales team provides extensive cover throughout the UK supported by internal sales and full after sales support. Within the team are dedicated specialists who consolidate consultant demands by developing a working relationship that does not invade their design responsibility but assists by application solving, for example, using case studies reference material. We have gained considerable experience in supply partnerships with national accounts operating on the high street and within the commercial sector. Our capability to develop business in this sector is far reaching, from competitive price structure to detailed feedback data, extended warranty and training for the contractors approved by the national account client.

We are also in a position to recommend companies as Daikin Approved Installers who are part of our Daikin D1 Partner Network, this network extends throughout the UK.  The philosophy of this network is that through the medium of partnerships business can be developed for mutual benefit and loyalty is rewarded. The approval bears significant recognition as installation engineers have access to an extensive Daikin training programme and there is an extended five-year warranty for D1 Partner companies.

Warehousing and Logistics

The sales and distribution network within Europe is further enhanced to ensure customer satisfaction by our activities in the UK. Warehousing facilities at multiple distribution centres hold local stocks. Every day, week and month trucks deliver product from the Ostend factory to these centres. Each distribution centre also carries extensive stocks of spares and accessories and is equipped with its own fleet of modem delivery vehicles to maintain a regular and dependable supply chain to the UK customer base.

All Daikin Airconditioning UK offices are linked with each other and European headquarters in Ostend by a fully integrated computer network, enabling close communication between field sales and technical departments to be maintained at all times for the benefit of customers throughout the country.

Daikin Industries Ltd is the global leader in the manufacture of commercial, industrial and residential air conditioning equipment and systems, enjoying a number one share in the large Japanese home market. The world wide Daikin Group is firmly established in 5 key areas - Japan, Europe, China, South East Asia and North America and as such, operates in an international business environment.
